Who provides the collection and delivery service?
Deadline Distribution is part of a network of parcel companies with over 100 locations throughout the UK, all within easy reach of major cities.
What do I need to send a parcel consignment?
You will need the parcel(s) that make up the consignment, a printer to produce your shipping documents, a valid email address for us to send a receipt of your shipment and a credit/debit card to arrange payment.
Should I register?
It is advisable to register. Once you have registered with Deadline Distribution it will make shipping a parcel easier, allowing us to pre-populate many of the fields in the process for you.
What service should I use?
Deadline Distribution offer a range of next day services to suit every need.
When will my parcel consignment be collected?
You will be notified of the collection time when you have added your parcel details.
When will the parcel consignment be delivered?
Our standard service is a next day delivery by 5.30pm, unless you have chosen one of our premium services, which will be delivered by the nominated time, e.g. before 12:00. Postcode exceptions apply.
What is the maximum weight I can send?
The maximum weight is 30kg per parcel.
What is the maximum dimension of a parcel?

Will I be charged for the number of parcels I send?
You will be charged for the total consignment weight and not for the number of parcels contained within the consignment.
What items can't I send?
Please refer to our Prohibited and restricted items to see our list of prohibited and restricted items.
What else will I be charged for?
The quotation you receive via the website will be the total charge for sending your goods, and VAT at current rate will
be applied to the transaction. It is important to note that the weight and volume of any parcels may be checked by us and any excess
compared to the declared weight/dimensions will result in further charges.
Do I need to contact my local Deadline Distribution depot once the booking has been made?
You will not need to contact your local Deadline Distribution depot once the booking has been made, just leave everything to us.
What do I do if I don't know the postcode?
You will need to know the full delivery address, postcode and contact details of the person you are sending the parcel to.
Who do I contact should anything change with the delivery?
If you have a query relating to the collection or delivery of your consignment, please contact customer services at firstname.lastname@example.org
and we will respond to your query within 24 hours, Monday to Friday.
How do I package the parcel?
You must provide your own packaging for the item and it must be securely packed for transportation through a mechanical sorting system.
Packaging must be sufficient to guard against outside impact and must also keep the contents inside securely in position.
Insufficient or inadequate packaging will mean that your goods will not be covered under our Terms and Conditions and our driver may refuse to collect.

Am I covered for items lost or damaged during transit?

What happens if I need to make a claim for damage or loss?
To make a claim, you must notify our admin department in writing within 28 days from when the consignment was collected.

What happens if there is no one in to accept the delivery?
We will leave a calling card for the recipient to let them know we have attempted a delivery and the local depot will await contact from said recipient as to what they want us to do with the consignment.
Can my goods be left at an unattended address?
We attempt to obtain a signature for all consignment unless expressly authorised by the sender of the goods.
The option to authorise a consignment to be left safe can be found on the ‘Address details’ page of Click & Send.
Will I receive a receipt of payment?
Yes, you will receive a confirmation email displaying how much has been deducted from your credit/debit card.
Your parcel can be tracked online at deadlinedistribution.co.uk. All you need to do is enter the consignment number
given to you when you book and you will be able to find out where it is in the delivery process. Parcel tracking can be found by entering the consignment number into the search box.
Proof of Delivery
Proof of delivery is available at deadlinedistribution.co.uk within 20 minutes. Simply enter the consignment number in the search box.
My printer has broken while trying to print the routing label. What should I do?
You will receive an email from us after your order is confirmed. Click on the PDF routing label and re-print accordingly.
What confirmation will I receive?
Before reaching the payment screen, you will be presented with an order summary outlining all the details you will
have entered up to that point. This lets you confirm that you are happy with the details as they are. Once you click ‘Pay now’
you will be transferred to our secure payment portal. After checkout is complete we will send an confirmation e-mail, along with your routing labels.
Is my payment information secure?
Absolutely. Your payment details are used by Sage Pay; they are not stored by Deadline Distribution.
What happens if I have two parcels going to different addresses?
You will need to complete the Click & Send process again for the second parcel.

Prohibited & restricted items
Due to legal or health and safety reasons, the following items are not accepted for carriage:
Animals and livestock
Any item that is marked with a diamond shaped ‘hazardous’ sticker
Any item which is illegal under UK law
Clinical and medical waste
Human remains (including ashes)
Waste, dirt, filth or refuse
Consignments found to contain any of the above items may be cancelled without notice.
